For External Examination:-
a.) There shall be 10 questions in PART- A of all I year subjects, each containing
two (2) bits a and b with 2 marks for each bit with a total marks of 40. (10x4=40 marks).
b.} In PART-8, there shall be 8 questions out of which, the student should
answer any 4 questions. Each question should contain two (2) parts a and b with an
aggregate marks of 10 for each question. The marks weightage of each bit shall be
decided by the paper setter/modifier depending on the type of question and length of the
answer. (4*10=40 marks).
The marks weightage of Part-A is increased from 30 to 40 and each question is having
two bits with simple sentences, increasing the choice of attempt and scoring. The choice of
Part-8 is now increased to 4 out of eight questions against 5 out of eight earlier. Apart from that
each question thereby further simplified by splitting the total question into parts a and b which
facilitates and simplifies the attempting choice of the student and scoring will improve as these
a, b are of simple three or four sentenced answers.
For UNIT Examination:-
a.} There shall be 5 questions in PART - A of all I year subjects, each containing
two
(2) bits a and b with 1 mark for each bit with a total marks of 10. (5 *2=10 marks}.
b.} In PART-8, there shall be 4 questions out of which, the student should
answer any 2 questions. Each question should contain two
(2) parts a and b with an aggregate marks of 5 for each question. The marks weightage of each bit shall be
decided by the paper setter depending on the type of question and length of the answer.
(2 X 5=10 marks}.
c.) The unit test duration is 90 minutes.
The principals are requested to give wide publicity by communicating the same to all staff and students and adhere to this pattern for unit tests and so on of I year examination with
immediate effect
